Behind Bars

The cold, gray walls enclose you. Time drags. Each day appears the last: a monotonous cycle punctuated by rations and guard rounds. Communication with the outside world is restricted. Despair becomes your constant companion. You fight for meaning in this confined existence.

You try to hold onto sanity. There are flickers of humanity: a kind guard, a passing conversation with another inmate, the seldom seen kindness of a visitor. But these moments are transient, quickly swallowed by the harsh reality of serving your time.

The weight of your actions hovers over you. Redemption feel like distant, elusive dreams. You question if you'll ever truly break free, not prison just from the bars, but from the psychological confines that enfold you within.

Conviction Versus Consequence

A belief is a potent thing. It can fuel actions, ignite passions, and guide us toward our goals. However, each conviction carries with it an inherent burden. Our convictions shape our choices, and those choices inevitably have outcomes, both for ourselves and the world around us. If you think the construction can hide whispers, think again. Walls, like any other things, are capable of observing. Historic stories warn people that walls have ears, and though this may seem similar to a tale, the fact is surprising.

Innocence Lost's Burden
